We are all aware of the fact that gaining admission in Nigeria higher institutions is not an easy task.

Haven written jamb and scored above your choice institution’s cutoff eases you of the phase one stress.

Next you have to face the screening text/post-utme examination conducted by the school.

This is where most prospects focus more (as should be) because it determines wether they will be given an admission, either in their preferred department or otherwise.

Examination anxiety usually sets in, even more than when they wrote jamb. The fear of scoring above the departmental cutoff!!

With regards to 2019 post-utme, many schools have already announced their post-utme registration and exam dates.

That shows you that the second phase towards your admission has started and thus anxiety, haha..

Like I said in an article;“causes of examination anxiety”, lack of preparation leads to fear of examination, and the later leads to examination anxiety.

If you have been trapped in this already, then you have a saviour.

Below are four (4) effective tips to help you smash your post-utme examination in one sitting – far above cutoff mark.

How-to-pass-post-utme

1. START READING TODAY!

Dont Wait till your school announces her post-utme or for the date to be closer before you start preparing or start reading your books. Do not procastinate reading. It’s never too early to start. No matter how busy you are, make out time to read and read useful text books.

If you don’t know how and when (best time) to read, you might find this article helpful; HOW TO READ AN NIGHT WITHOUT FALLING ASLEEP

Let me make a recommendation for those looking for good English language textbook. Kindly look for felar 909, it’s one of the best English text book for JAMB and POST-UTME 2019.

2. SET YOUR POST-UTME REGISTRATION MONEY ASIDE!!

Start making arrangements for the money for your registration, no federal or state university will charge more than N3,000. As for the books to read, if you know those books you read for your jamb, start revising and reading them all over again but with more effort so that you do will better this time around.

3. UPLOAD YOUR O’LEVEL GRADES TO YOUR SCHOOL PORTAL FOR SCREENING!! (if required by the school).

You are going to write same subjects you wrote in jamb. Schools that will conduct only screening will use your o’levels and your jamb to grade you. So make sure you upload them if your school asks for it.

4. MAKE ARRANGEMENT FOR ACCOMMODATION!!

If you don’t have where to stay during the post-utme, start making arrangements for that from now so you won’t be stranded. Also visit your exam venue a day before the exam to avoid looking for it on the “D day”
